All Black Everything

Hey loves.

January is already over and thus far I have only posted my January playlist on my blog this year… and that was. yesterday... not to mention that I completely skipped December.

But whatever. Right?

Happy 2017 you guys! :’)

These photos are from December, and the thing is, I haven’t necessarily even been that busy, I just by no means have been prioritizing my time. Like AT ALL… (New year's resolution perhaps).

Sidenote. I know this really cool photographer dude. His name is Austin Leih and he shot these photos on b&w film (I mean might as well right? Totally complements the monochromatic mayhem that I am). He also happens to be my boyfriend ;) and has helped photograph for my little blog so much <3 so shoutout to him

I want to continue dedicating more time towards my blog, not so much that I even have a substantial audience yet. I just know that further down in my life, I will very much enjoy being able to look back at my photos & little writings and feel all nostalgic. I love that. And hate that-- but that’s how nostalgia works. You wish you could go back to a certain time and place, and you’re sad that you can’t… but in the end you’re simply grateful for the fact that you have such a lovely memory to dwell on. Yeah.
Extra side note. Nostalgia is my middle name.
Just kidding it’s Dawn. But I am hands down the most nostalgic person that I know and am so overwhelmed with the concept of “time” and how it deludes right before my eyes.

Anyways, I anticipate posting on my blog MORE frequently. Not only do I want to begin expanding in the content that I blog about, I also want to show more voice in my writing because more than anything when I look back and read these I want to hear my real voice and thoughts and not the cookie cutter polished thoughts which I know can get pretty monotone. I will more than likely begin posting some food related ones in the near future :}
I’ve been vegan for almost a year now, and it would just fill my heart with joy to inspire others in living a cruelty lifestyle by demonstrating how simple it can actually be.

Till next time! (which will be very soon).

School started last Monday, so summer has already come to a close… I'm also already burning my fall candles.

Currently in my life: I’m officially a senior in high school... which is just now finally starting to set in. It’s actually a little more stressful than I had anticipated it to be, but that’s probably just because I’ve been feeling a tad scatterbrained lately.

These past few days have been the slowest. Apart from school, they have consisted of me cleaning out my closet because I have been putting that off for far too long... and trying to find new music.

These photos are from quite a while ago, but better late than never in my opinion. ;} Overalls are something that I love dearly but never quite have luck with finding. This overall dress is from Urban and matches with just about everything… and here I kept it minimal and incorporated a little black and white because well… I guess that’s what I do best.

Crispy Blues

2 posts in 1 day, this is what I call productive. Regardless that it’s summer, I’m somehow seriously struggling with time. I’ve finally caught up with my work load of assignments (that was due 5 days ago) for a comm app course I’m taking over the summer. Accordingly, that puts me behind on the next load of assignments I have yet to commence. My Summer days are flying by, and I can’t believe we’re already half way through the month of June!

On with the post :] I’m wearing a simple lightweight button down tucked in a pair of black high-waisted shorts. Also, if you know me, there’s something about crew socks and oxfords that have me a little obsessed... crew socks and anything really. When I was younger, I remember that right after The Chronicles of Narnia was released, I admired the Pevensies' style from head to toe. I would wear frilly socks with my mary janes every single day. I guess the trend kind of stuck with me :}

Sunny & 75

Summer break is only two days away for me, and that makes me happier beyond words. I know I've completely been slacking with my blog posts, but hopefully that will change with the school year approaching its end. I've been pretty busy lately that I have had absolutely no time for shopping. I was mainly online shopping, purchasing a few items here and there, so for the first time in a while I took a trip to the mall. My local Forever 21 was having a huge sale because they're remodeling and I found the greatest deals. With an additional 65% off my entire purchase, I bought 6 tops for under $20, and I copped a pair of shoes (that I'm wearing here) for a solid $5. It was a satisfying shopping trip to say the least.

I'm absolutely in love with the lace up top I'm wearing in this outfit. It's originally from Topshop, but I bought it off of Diana Silvers on poshmark (which has a bunch of cute things for sale, you should check it out!) I paired it with my favorite pair of Brandy shorts and a denim button up that I found at a garage sale a while back :}

wishing everyone a very lovely day! hopefully I will start blogging more! Xx

Here it is: my first ever blog post :}
I look forward to keeping up with this new blog of mine, a creative outlet where I can share all the things that inspire me. Anyhow, I’m absolutely loving this window pane shift dress from Urban. It screams 60’s, and in my eyes, is perfect for the Spring time. Incorporating monochromatic tones in my outfits is always a go-to for me, no matter the season.
