You're probably wondering who this lovely gal is standing right next to me in this photo.
This is Raashi.
We met in the 7th grade P.E. class when I was too scared to even talk to anyone because it was my first day at a new school. Then we found each other again later that day in the same Pre-Algebra class...and then in Home Ec class right after that.
To be frank, our friendship basically blossomed from our shared love for shopping, similar music tastes, and Harry Potter.
When thanksgiving break came around that year, I invited her over to my house to bake some blueberry muffins from this Harry Potter cookbook I had at my house.
The more we hung out, the more similarities I found between us, and the closer friends we became.
I'm honestly so thankful for someone like Raashi—to have in my life and to call my best friend. She is one of the sweetest people out there, the kind of person you feel comfortable telling anything to. She is a talented artist, musician, and one of the smartest people that I know.
It's crazy to look back and remember graduating from middle school a short while ago, going to 8th grade formal together, and then enrolling in drivers ed together our freshman year. We're already almost halfway done with our senior year in high school, and I'm trying to find where all the time went.
Throughout all of high school, we never shared one class or lunch period together, even though we had signed up for most of the same courses. That's how big my high school is :(
Regardless, we still remained the closest of friends, and to me that just goes to show how genuine our friendship really is :')
We still frequently get together and bake pumpkin bread or some new vegan recipes that I'm finding, and watch scary movies in the little movie theatre at Raashi's house. Those days are the best ! <3 I love this girl so much.
P.S. shout out to bipolar Texas weather for giving us this warm December shoot (;
